POSITION: Glue Welt

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:  Glues single and double welt onto furniture.

 

Essential Functions:

*Moves furniture onto and off of buggy as needed

*Uses hot glue gun to glue welt (boarder trim) onto furniture including chairs,

  ottomans, and sofas.

*If fabric is stripe, lines up fabric patterns.

*Ensures welt is glued straight and adheres to unit

*Attaches casters and feet by screwing onto legs with impact screwdriver

*Uses necessary tools including: hot glue gun, staple gun, staple puller, hammer,

  pliers, chisel, and impact screwdriver.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR Director to lead our human resources initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and productive workplace environment. This leadership role requires a comprehensive understanding of human resources management, employment law, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development. The successful candidate will oversee all HR functions, develop policies aligned with organizational goals, and serve as a key partner to senior leadership in shaping company culture and workforce strategies. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational objectives and promote a positive workplace culture.

  • Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering open communication channels.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, OSHA, workers' compensation regulations, and other relevant legal standards.
  • Lead performance management initiatives including employee evaluations, succession planning, and training & development programs.
  • Administer benefits programs and be familiar with ADP.
  • Supervise HR sourcing activities and oversee organizational design efforts to optimize workforce structure.
  • Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the company culture.
  • Manage HR program management activities including change management, process improvement initiatives, and compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning related to human capital management and organizational growth.
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims processing and conflict management procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, FMLA policies, and workers' compensation procedures.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition strategies including sourcing techniques and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Data analysis skills for HR data collection and reporting to inform decision-making processes.

At least 3 years experience required in a high-end furniture environment.

  • Seats: sew seat to frame, making cuts, applying cotton, applying border
  • Arms: apply foam and cotton to areas on frames arms, make proper cuts and apply fabric to arms, apply borders as needed, band different kinds of arms (sock, track, panel border arm)
  • Backs: apply fabric to back aligning stripes, keeping grain of fabric straight

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:  Applies sectional connectors, legs, swivels, swivel glides, bar stool base plates and bases to furniture per company specifications.  Assembles recliner mechanisms

 

Essential Functions:

·         Uses hammer, staple gun, staple puller, air screwdriver and tape measure to attach designated part to furniture

·         Reads production ticket and applies appropriate base, etc. per instructions

·         Must be able to read a tape measure

·         Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or plant manager.
